As a Parent, you are your child’s first and most important teacher.

  • Parents as Teachers can help you lay a strong

    foundation for your child’s future success in

    school.

  • Parents As Teachers is offered free of charge to

    parents of young children.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a free, voluntary parent education and family support program serving families in the Carrollton School District who have a child prenatal to kindergarten.

PAT provides:

  • Home visits by a certified parent educator to inform, support, and encourage parents

  • Group connections with other parents to share parenting experiences and talk about other topics

  • Developmental screenings (Screenings given up to age 5)

  • Connections to community resources
