It takes a TEAM!!! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️👩‍💼 Susie and Mindy from Carroll County Memorial Hospital introduced health occupations students to a wide variety of careers in the OR department. Everything from environmental services to pharmacist to the OR manager to the surgeon themselves. Following the presentation students learned the importance of keeping items sterile in the OR. They gloved and gowned up to intubate pig lungs, as well as practiced sutures on bananas. 🏥💉🩸🩺 Fun fact: Mrs. Placke came to us straight out of the OR from CCMH. Using her professional network she has been able to give students endless opportunities to job shadow and intern in the medical field.
