On Wednesday, December 11, we hosted our second annual Senior Etiquette Luncheon for all seniors who attend the Carrollton Area Career Center. This event was more than just a delicious meal—it was an opportunity for our students to develop essential communication and leadership skills that will serve them well in their future careers. Learning to communicate professionally with future employers, colleagues, and community members is a critical part of preparing for the workforce. This luncheon gave students the chance to practice these skills with our professionals from our region. A special thank you to the industry professionals who joined us, sharing their time and expertise to make this event a success. Your guidance and support is always appreciated!

Senior Michael Harris is no stranger to the CACC shops! Currently enrolled in Welding and Ag Power, Michael decided to switch gears and showcase his creativity in woodworking. 🛠️✨ Using reclaimed wood from the CACC renovation this summer — wood originally part of a wall in our Marketing classroom — Michael crafted this piece completely from scratch. He plans to gift this project to a special friend who attended our Marketing program. 👏 #CACC #EducateAchieveSucceed #AgEducation

This year, we’ve expanded opportunities for our students by adding a Human Services Pathway through the reinstated FACS program! 🎉 As a benefit to this addition, eighth graders from CMS are eligible to take Discovering FACS. This quarterly class allows students to learn basic food safety, nutrition, sanitation, and even sewing skills. 🧵🍎 Bentley Thomas displays her hand embroidery project she has been working on in FACS this quarter! 👏 Excellent Work! #CACC #FACS #EducateAchieveSucceed

The Carrollton R-VII School District is aware of the potential threats to area school districts as possible targets for school shootings. Our district has not been identified as of now. However, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We have been in contact with our local law enforcement agencies to ensure proactive strategies are in place. Those agencies may be present around campus so please do not be alarmed by their presence. Again, no immediate threat has been made to our district. We will continue to take precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you, Dr. Croy, Superintendent Carrollton School District.
