Starting the year off right! Over the past two days, all Carrollton Area Career Center students received CPR training, and we're proud to announce that 78 students have earned their CPR and First Aid certification! 🎉
A huge thank you to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for their generous donation to cover certification expenses for all students, and to Abbie Backes, RN, and Amanda Riley, RN, for their time and expertise in certifying our students.
This certification is invaluable across all industries. Knowing CPR and First Aid helps prepare students to handle emergencies safely and confidently, making them an asset in any workplace or community setting. These essential skills can make a critical difference, whether they are working in construction, education, hospitality, or any other field.
Congratulations to our students on this important achievement! 🌟 #CACC #educateachievesucceed #CareerReady

On Friday, August 30, our students will be participating in a Fire Safety Day at the Career Center. Don't be alarmed if you see a firetruck on campus--it's all part of a scheduled training exercise.

Congratulations to Senior Graphic Arts student Madilynn Albert! 🎉
Her incredible shirt design has been selected for the 2024-2025 CACC t-shirt! 👏

Graphic Arts students have started the year off working in the shop. Students are working on organizing our shirt supply, building vinyl storage, and heat pressing the new CACC shirts.

🎉 Welcome Back, CACC! 🎉

👩🎓🎉👩⚕️Just weeks after graduating, Savannah McDonald is already putting her skills to work at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, assisting in surgery! This CACC Health Occupations alumna will be continuing her journey this fall at State Fair Community College, pursuing a degree in surgical technology. 🩺🏥📚
Career and technical education is essential in advancing students to the next level of their education, putting them ahead of their peers who did not take CTE courses. It provides high skill, high wage opportunities and a strong foundation for future success.

🌸🎨 A Labor of Love 🌼✨
Senior welding student Emily Sprouse crafted metal flowers to give her friends and family as a memento of her time at the career center! 🛠🌹
Emily started with 60 washers and a few rods. From bending the washers to sorting out how many to use for each petal, it's been a journey of creativity and precision. So far she has created 8 small flowers, each with 6 delicate petals. Excellent job Emily on your vibrant, blooming welding creation.

🌹🔥 Welding student spotlight! Kamden Lightfoot amazed us with his latest creation: a stunning rose crafted from 32 individual pieces. He meticulously shaped each part, forged the stem, and welded it all together – just in time for prom! 🎉 Talk about putting skills to work! Kamden, your creativity is truly inspiring. Keep shining bright! 💫 #CACC #CACCWelding #educateachievesucceed #prom2024
